--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2006 #2 (issued 6-May, 7:25 UT) --------------------------------------------- OGLE 2006-BLG-207: suspected caustic entry Dear Colleagues, recent PLANET observations with the Danish 1.54m telescope at ESO LaSilla taken between HJD=2453861.691 (6-May, 4:34 UT) and HJD=2453861.784 (6-May, 6:50 UT) show a sudden rise by about 1 mag that does not match a smooth slope of the light curve, so that a caustic entry is indicated. In order to determine the nature of this event, further observations are encouraged. A light curve plot is available on our webpages and data are being made available soon. Event: OGLE 2006-BLG-207 RA (J2000): 18:05:11.53 Dec (J2000): -27:57:24.4 The baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is 19.169 +/- 0.004.
