--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2005 #11 (issued 11-Aug, 13:45 UT ) --------------------------------------------- OGLE 2005-BLG-436 reveals finite source size Dear Colleagues, PLANET data from the Danish 1.5m observatory at La Silla, and the SAAO 1m observatory in South Africa show that OGLE 2005-BLG-436 has reached a peak near I = 13.8 at a magnification of about 7.5, where the lightcurve shape is influenced by the finite size of the source star Follow up photometric and multiband observations are strongly recommended. A light curve plot and data files for this event are available on our webpage http://planet.iap.fr/currentevents.html, which is frequently updated. Event: OGLE 2005-BLG-436 RA (J2000.0) 17:52:27.86 Dec (J2000.0) -29:53:09.3 The baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is I = 16.05 mag, current magnification is more than 2.2mag, so it is a VERY BRIGHT event!
