--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY UPDATE 2004 #11-1 (issued 16-Jul, 7:20 UT) --------------------------------------------- Caustic exit to come soon Dear Colleagues, further data on OGLE 2004-BLG-373 collected by PLANET during the last night with the Danish 1.54m telescope at ESO LaSilla and the SAAO 1.0m telescope at Sutherland (South Africa) show that the caustic exit has not occured yet. An observed brightening by about 0.5 mag over the trough between the caustic passages now indicates that the center of the source is likely to exit at HJD = 2453203.41 (-0.21/+0.25), i.e. 16-Jul, 21:50 UT (-5 h/+6 h). Continuing dense monitoring will therefore allow a proper coverage of the caustic exit. Event: OGLE 2004-BLG-373 RA (J2000): 17:54:44.95 Dec (J2000): -30:00:50.4 The baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is 18.327.
