--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2004 #16 (issued 1-Oct, 14:15 UT) --------------------------------------------- End of PLANET 2004 observing season Dear Colleagues, With effect from 30 September, PLANET has ceased observations at the end of an exciting 2004 Bulge season, during which we reported several major headline news items on our homepage http://planet.iap.fr. We hope that you appreciated our on-line presentation of PLANET data for ongoing events. However, none of our achievements would have been possible without the numerous high-quality microlensing alerts provided by OGLE-III and MOA. We would hereby like to use this opportunity to express our thanks to the OGLE and MOA collaborations for setting up and managing their observing campaigns and alert systems. In particular, we wish MOA every success with their new 1.8m telescope which will be operational soon (and look forward to the increased number of events from which we can select our targets). We also benefited from several cordial exchanges with the MicroFUN collaboration and look forward to interacting with all microlensing teams again in 2005 Bulge season when PLANET will be back in action.
